Who We Are
…A Non-Profit
Founded in 1988, Springfield EMS Association is the organization providing community education, Emergency Medical Technician training, and support for Southeast Colorado Hospital Ambulance Service and other interested parties in Baca County. The organization was incorporated and achieved 501(c)3 non-profit status in 1990.
…A Community
Members of our team are deeply involved in the community atmosphere. We coach sports teams, teach in local schools, provide lifeguard training for community swimming pools, and help plan community festivals. As many members of these two organizations are lifelong residents of Baca County, we understand firsthand the importance of true community spirit.
Our Mission
Our mission as an EMS association is to provide the most up to date Emergency Medical Service equipment and skills to all who live in or travel through our community. Sometimes that comes through hosting Injury Prevention Days at local schools, supplying training for new EMTs and hosting continuing education opportunities. In other situations, it means doing our best to find the monetary resources to purchase equipment and supplies necessary to care for our service area.
